报告人简介:

 

Prof. Dr. David C. Weindorf who holds Ph.D. in Agronomy from Texas Tech. Univ. currently serves as a professor and Associate Dean for Research for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources in the university. Dr. Weindorf has focused his researches on the development of applications for new technologies in field soil survey, land use management/planning, remote sensing, environmental quality assessment, and international translational soil taxonomy. He is particularly interested in the development of new applications for portable x-ray fluorescence (PXRF) spectrometry, visible near infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (VisNIR DRS), and electromagnetic induction (EMI) techniques. Dr. Weindorf and his research team have published ~100 peer reviewed research papers on topics ranging from proximal sensing applications to optimized land use management techniques.

 

 

Dr. Somsubhra Chakraborty got his PhD degree from Louisiana State University and now serves as an assistant professor in North Bengal Agricultural University in India. His current research focus on proximal sensors for soil science application.
